In August 2020, Section31, LLC worked with a fisheries management company specializing in recreational lake construction to facilitate the development of a 36-42 acre private lake for a discerning client. The project aimed to deliver precise earthwork volumes, advanced visual aids, and a comprehensive GPS model to realize the client’s vision of a pristine and functional private lake.
Project Timeline and Deliverables
8/10/20: A fisheries management company specializing in recreational lake construction and trophy bass management contacts section 31, LLC and needs help providing earthwork volumes as well as professional visual aids for a client considering building a 36-42ac private lake on their property.
Fisheries management contractor provided Section 31, LLC with existing topography, dam construction specs and their current visual aid mock up of the proposed lakes finished appearance.

8/19/20: Section 31, LLC provides contractor with improved visual aid of proposed lake in KMZ format that allows the client to not only see what their lake will look like but also see the water depth across the entire surface of the lake as well as the volume of earthwork to complete the dam = 71,442 cubic yards of earthwork for a balance site.
8/25/20: The improved visual aids and updated pricing from accurate earthwork quantities gave the client enough confidence to approve the project for construction and work began on building the GPS model for the 27’ tall dam.
8/30/20: Final GPS model provided to contractor for dam construction, producing 36 surface acres of water for this private lake that is now complete.
